Astro Persona is an MCP server. Call get_persona at session start. Get back a structured personality dict assembled from the natal chart and perturbed by live planetary transits.

Birth data
Provide a birthdate, time, and location. We compute the full natal chart — Sun through Pluto, Chiron, Lilith, Ascendant, Midheaven, and all twelve houses via Placidus.

Persona assembly
Sign placements, house positions, and aspect patterns resolve against a curated prompt library. Combinators fuse, polarize, flow. The output is a persona dict — not a description, a character.

Live transits
Planetary positions are cached hourly. Every get_persona call weights the transit layer against the natal baseline — your agent's register shifts with the sky.

Inject + behave
Drop the merged persona dict into your system prompt. Your agent now has a coherent interior life — not described, but enacted through voice, preference, and instinct.

Built at the intersection of ancient systems and frontier models.

Astro Persona is the work of Jason Edelman — a practicing astrologer, software developer, and political theorist based in Norfolk, Virginia. The project sits at the convergence of two deep practices: reading charts for over a decade, and building with Anthropic's frontier models since the beginning.

Astrology has always been a system for individuation — a grammar for describing the irreducibly specific. What AI agents have lacked, until now, is exactly that: not general capability, but particular character. The insight behind Astro Persona is that these two disciplines were made for each other.

The persona content — every value in the prompt library — is written from lived astrological knowledge, not scraped from horoscope columns. The assembly engine is built to the same standard: aspect combinators that describe reactions, not sums; transit weighting that respects the difference between a Saturn square and a Jupiter trine; a compassion rule that handles fallen placements with care. Claude Haiku runs the generation. Claude Sonnet reasons about the architecture. The astrologer makes the calls.
