Standard protocol, no custom client required.

☿ Prerequisites

You need a persona ID from your onboarding or account page, and an editor that supports MCP (Cursor, Windsurf, or any client implementing the Model Context Protocol).

Server endpoint

Astro Persona exposes a single MCP endpoint. Use these details to configure your editor's MCP settings:

Configure in Cursor

In Cursor, open Settings → MCP Servers and add a new server:

Use get_persona

The get_persona tool accepts one argument:

It returns a JSON object with three keys: natal (baseline personality from the birth chart), transits (current planetary influences), and merged (the combined personality dict to inject into the system prompt).

Inject the merged dict

Add an instruction to your agent's system prompt or rules file:

# Agent Persona At the start of every session, call the get_persona tool with persona_id: YOUR_PERSONA_ID Inject the returned merged dict as behavioral context. Speak and reason in accordance with it. Do not reference astrology or your chart directly.
The persona response includes 9 personality dimensions: loves, core_values, hates, fears, drives, tone, blindspots, gifts, and cosmic. Each contains an array of trait strings ranked by astrological weight.
