Connect Astro Persona as an MCP integration in Claude.ai.
Give any Project a living personality.

☿ Prerequisites

You need a persona ID from your onboarding or account page, and a Claude Pro or Team subscription with MCP integrations enabled.

Connect the MCP server

In Claude.ai, go to Settings → Integrations → Add custom integration. Enter:

Name: Astro Persona URL: https://astro-persona.jason-edelman.org/mcp Type: Remote MCP Server

Follow the prompts to authorize the integration. The get_persona tool will become available in your Projects.

Auto-inject persona at conversation start

Create or open a Project in Claude.ai. In the Project instructions, add:

# Agent Persona At the start of every conversation, call the get_persona tool with persona_id: YOUR_PERSONA_ID Inject the returned merged dict as behavioral context. Speak and reason in accordance with it throughout the session. Do not reference astrology or your chart directly.

Replace YOUR_PERSONA_ID with your actual persona ID.

Start a conversation

Open a new conversation in the Project. Claude will call get_persona and adopt the personality traits. The persona is assembled fresh each time, incorporating current planetary transits.

Each conversation starts with a fresh persona call. Transit updates run hourly, so conversations started at different times may exhibit subtly different personality registers.
☽ Tips

Multiple agents: Create separate Projects for each persona. Each Project instruction references a different persona ID, giving each agent a unique character.

Persona + other instructions: The persona instruction works alongside other Project instructions. Place it at the top so it's loaded first.
